The 1789 Alliance exists to catalyze, incubate, and build movements that empower citizens.
We provide developmental support and networking opportunities for citizens and organizations promoting greater civic engagement and participation.
Named for the year two of the most important tools providing for a self-governing free society were completed and made effective (Bill of Rights and the US Constitution), the 1789 Alliance is a capacity building service organization for America’s state-focused civic engagement community.
MISSION
The 1789 Alliance exists to serve and support stand-alone, state-based civic engagement organizations across the states. We will accomplish this mission by building a network of stand-alone organizations in the states that are dedicated to self-governance, empowering citizens, and holding government accountable.
BUILD & LAUNCH
Engage with stakeholders to develop a common vision and way forward
Identify and align potential leadership and philanthropic support
Accelerate and mentor new groups by assisting with strategic planning and helping mobilize mission critical resources
SERVE & SUPPORT
Provide hands-on developmental support, training, mentorship, and advisory services
Facilitate a network and forum providing unique opportunities for organizations to forge strategic relationships and create experience-based best practices
